COMMUNITY BANK YORK & DISTRICTS

York & Districts Community Financial Services Ltd (YDCFS Ltd) is the franchisee of Community Bank York & Districts. We partner with Bendigo Bank to deliver banking services and products to the district.

Community banking is a ‘profit-for-purpose’ model, meaning profits are returned directly to the community that has generated them. In our case, York and surrounding districts.

To run a successful Community Investment Program and return as much as possible, we first need to run a successful business. That’s why it’s important customers bank with us in the first instance.

OUR STORY & HISTORY

Community Bank York & Districts opened in July 2002. When other banks started leaving the area, a committee of locals rallied and raised capital to start a local branch of the Bendigo Community Bank model.

Since that time, we have provided a quality banking service and donated a significant amount of money back to the community by way of sponsorships and grants.

COMMUNITY INVESTMENT FUNDING

We are committed to developing partnerships with local organisations that assist in achieving positive community outcomes.

Community Bank York & Districts offers the following funding opportunities to proudly support our community:

1. Sponsorships
2. Express sponsorships (<$500) – available all year round.
3. Scholarships (we work with various schools to offer scholarships that reduce the financial burden of ongoing study and training).

GUIDELINES FOR LODGING AN APPLICATION

Community Bank York & Districts is proud to provide financial support through its sponsorship program to foster a relationship between the Bank, community groups and members of the communities it serves. We welcome new and innovative ideas if they have a broad community benefit.

Please ensure you read our Community Investment Funding Guidelines before making an application.

Timeline for making an application

• Funding for projects January to June: Applications close October 31 each year.
• Funding for projects July to December: Applications close April 30 each year.

Please plan your application to ensure funds are available when you need them. Assessment of your application may be delayed if we need to ask for more information.

You are welcome to contact us all year round if you are in the early stages of planning to discuss funding requirements and options, or if your project/event requires consideration outside of our standard biannual sponsorship program.
